The ATA Crossbow Technician Certification program gives you the knowledge and skills to help your customer choose an appropriate crossbow, complete routine maintenance tasks, and diagnose the causes of equipment problems. Please See the "Live Learning" Calendar for Upcoming Practical Sessions Students will sign up for (1) Half Day session to complete their practical, and should be prepared to complete all skills and techniques covered in the online course. The ATA Crossbow Technician Certification online course includes video content, quizzes, and additional resources covering the following: Essential Background Knowledge Crossbow Styles Crossbow parts, design, and function Understanding proper crossbow shooting form Safe crossbow operation Tools of the Trade Safe use of bow shop tools and equipment such as hand tools and bow presses Crossbow Technician Skills Crossbow Assembly Scope Mounting and Adjustments String & Cable Changes Cam Timing Choosing a Proper Arrow Efficient Sight-In Process Troubleshooting and Equipment Problem Diagnoses To complete the certification, students must complete all required online course materials and pass an in-person practical assessment.
